SpindleTop Farms introduces Armand (Amorex x Grand Virtue x Grand Canyon), born Aug 1st, 2009.
Armand is sired by the fully approved Swedish Warmblood stallion, Amorex, a very proven dressage sire in his offspring. Amorex is sired by Olympic Amiral, Kyra K's past Olympic stallion who stood at Flyinge (State Stud of Sweden) before being imported to North America where he stood for a short time before his death. Amorex carries on the blood of Napoleon, who sired various approved stallions such as Vivaldi (I bred several Vivaldi in 2004, all were superb movers!), Amiral, Bernstein, Gazpon, etc, all known for very high marks in their gaits).
Armand dam is Grand Virtue, one of the few Grand Canyon mares in North America. Grand Canyon was imported to North America. Virtue is registered/approved and branded German Oldenburg Verband (GOV) as well as approved for breeding with the RPSI. He was sired by the influential stallion of Graphit, also the sire to the well known Grannus, Grundstein I, Grundstein II and General I who stood at Warendorf for many years. Lombard was on the other side of Grand Canyons pedigree, who was known as an influential Hanoverian stallion in the sports of Dressage and Jumping, with very high indexes on him and his offspring and also being the sire to the well known Hanoverian State Stud Stallion, Lanthan. Virtue's past foals have been of excellent quality and her 2005 Contendro I (Contender) son is now in Florida competing very sucessfully at level 4s in the rated shows.
